“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for Thou art my praise” – Jeremiah 17:14 (KJV)
As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we don’t feel jolly and on the mountain-top every day. Some days we feel down and at times we struggle to even get out of bed and face the world, sometimes we have sleepless nights because of the situations we are experiencing. In addition, some persons have chronic diseases in their bodies. In essence ‘life happens to us all’, and how we choose to deal with these occurrences will determine if we will live victorious in spite of all these challenges.
When I think of the above I reflect on the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 42:11. He was downcast but yet still he chose to hope in and praise God Who is the health of his countenance. Even though it is hard at times to praise God in difficult circumstances, especially when we are sick in our bodies, it is in our praise that we will bring the breakthrough – Psalm 34:1-4. Our God is faithful in keeping His promises toward us who believe. Trust Him with your life and see what He will do.
Today, as you read or listen to this devotion, rejoice because God has allowed you to witness the dawn of a new day. Hope exists once you have life, be assured that He is touched by the very feeling of your infirmities – Hebrews 4:15. He has a full understanding of what you are dealing with at the moment. Thus, I encourage you to connect with God right now, right where you are, and ask Him to hold your hand, carry you through, and bring you out of your situation, as you praise and thank Him.
Claim and receive your spiritual and physical benefits as outlined in Psalm 103, they belong to you.
